Night of the Museums in Ett Hem 13.5.2026

Free admission to Ett Hem Museum during Museum Night from 6 PM to 10 PM

Step back in time into an atmospheric bourgeois home from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Ett Hem Museum is located in a historic setting right next to the Cathedral, in a beautiful old wooden house. The museum was once the home of Consul Alfred Jacobsson and his wife Hélène, and the rooms have been preserved in the spirit of the period with the couple’s furniture, art, and textiles.

The museum’s unique interior offers a peaceful glimpse into the atmosphere of a bygone era and the art of the Finnish Golden Age — as if you were visiting a private home from a hundred years ago.

Please note that a maximum of 40 visitors can be admitted to the museum at one time, so be prepared for possible queuing.

Welcome to enjoy the atmospheric Museum Night on the eve of Ascension Day, 13 May!

Museum Night invites you to experience the museums of Turku in a new way: Turku Art Museum offers art and music, Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum comes alive with dance and music, Forum Marinum combines exhibitions with musical performances, and Pharmacy Museum and Qwensel House takes visitors into the fascinating history of folk medicine. Several museums stay open late into the evening.
