Find us

The museum’s address is Piispankatu 14, 20500 Turku. The museum is located close to the Cathedral, in a yellow wooden house, opposite from the Grädda restaurant. The museum has no visitor parking, but there are parking spaces in the street, on Piispankatu and on other streets close by.

The entrance to the museum is in the inneryard.

Accessibility

The museum is a one-storey house and the thresholds between the rooms are low. Steps lead up to the entrance of the museum. You can visit the museum with a manual wheelchair, with an assistant, or bring a walker or stroller. The museum personnel is happy to assist you at arrival.

Taking photographs in the museum

Private visitors are allowed to take pictures in the museum during their visit. Pictures can be taken for private, non-commercial use only. Tripod or flash cannot be used. The photographing should not disturb other museum visitors or require any kind of special arrangements.

If you wish to take pictures in the museum for a news paper article or scientific research, please contact the museum etthem(a)stiftelsenabo.fi or +358 (0)50 363 2982. The museum cannot be used as a studio for weddings, parties or other private events.

During the visit

During the visit, visitors are required to use shoe covers handed out at the entrance. Big rucksacks and bags, bike helmets or umbrellas, etc., can be left at the entrance. Some of the rooms in the museum are small and groups are advised to book their visit in advance. All interior and pieces are part of the museum and visitors are prohibited to e.g. touch, or lean on them. At the entrance, chairs are available to visitors who wish to sit down during the tour of the museum.
