The Christmas Season at the museum Ett Hem

In December, the museum Ett Hem transforms into a holiday haven, taking visitors back to the traditions of Alfred and Hélène Jacobsson. The museum, originally Jacobsson’s private home, and later donated to the Åbo Akademi University Foundation, displays collections of art, objects and furniture collected by the couple. The walls are adorned with works by renowned artists such as Albert Edelfelt, Elin Danielson-Gambogi and Hélène Schjerfbeck.

The museum is open from November 30, 2024, to January 5, 2025, and offers a glimpse into the Jacobsson’s cherished holiday traditions. Period-specific decorations, inspired by household records, letters, and family stories recreate their Christmas and New Year festivities. The museum shop offers a range of gifts inspired by the collection, for those seeking unique gifts.

We warmly welcome you to enjoy the magic of a historic Christmas at the museum Ett Hem!
